CHARLTON BROWN® believes that if you are going to teach community services, then you need to play a participatory role in community services.
We deliver on this through our philanthropic Global Linkages program. In line with the CHARLTON BROWN® philosophy on caring, Global Linkages supports philanthropic projects that bring social and community returns to those in need.
CHARLTON BROWN® students and graduates work with a culturally diverse client base in Australia and are increasingly seeking opportunities to gain international exposure and experience. As an organisation we are committed to providing students with the opportunity to engage with the international community through outward mobility; what we call Global Linkages.
The Global Linkages Program provides our students with the opportunity to complete practicum placement off shore. Under the supervision of a lead trainer, our students are provided with the opportunity to work in children’s services, elder care, disability and community service projects across the Indo-Asian region.
As a member of a small team, scholarship recipients work directly with our partners; learning to contextualise their skills while gaining invaluable multicultural knowledge.
Previous Global Linkages Scholarship recipients have found the experience life changing; reaffirming their desire to continue their career in care.
In 2016, the CHARLTON BROWN® Foundation’s Global Linkages Program will take students to Vietnam, India and Sri Lanka. Student scholarship applications will open in January 2016.
