Course Overview:

This is the ideal course for those wishing to pursue a career with a focus on the day-to-day management of an outside of school hours or vacation care setting. This course includes planning and managing programs, quality rating system requirements, using frameworks to encourage child development and behaviour management for primary school age children.

You will learn about activities to enhance learning and development, caring for children with special needs, working with culturally diverse clients and management skills.

Hands-on practical experience will be achieved by undertaking vocational placement in an Outside School Hours Care setting. This course has an ideal balance of theory and practical learning to ensure your confidence entering the workforce.

Course Cost: $3,500

Cert IV School Aged Children

Practical Experience:

You will gain hands-on practical experience by undertaking a minimum of 120 hours of vocational placement in a School Aged Education & Care setting. This course has an ideal balance of theory and practical learning to ensure your confidence when entering the workforce.
